In 2019, I graduated from Michigan State University with two degrees: Primary Education with a focus in English, and Early Childhood Development. I also have a minor in Spanish. I am about to graduate this summer (2022) from MSU in the MAET (Masters of Arts in Educational Technology) program.
Community
In my free time, I love to volunteer to help those less fortunate in the community. I help out at soup kitchens, schools, and many other fundraisers. I am also the CEO of a nonprofit organization called Crayons4Kids, which I started with my younger brother when I was just 6 years old. We wanted to collect crayons and coloring books to give to the kids in hospitals. We started with a cardboard box on our front porch that we decorated with crayons and stickers. This is a picture of our first collection.
Now Crayons4Kids has blossomed and helps children all around the country. We can't believe how big our organization is and how much we have helped people. Along with our family, we couldn't do anything without the support of our community. We receive so many donations from people in Michigan, but also from people all over the United States. You can find tons of pictures and learn about our past and future events on our Facebook page.
Personal Life
My fiancé and I love taking our mini golden doodle Gigi to the dog park and on hikes. I love to play board games and card games with my family. I am a nanny/babysitter to the most amazing children. I love to snuggle up and read to them, go for walks and explore outside, and play! Since the pandemic, I have recently started to tutor children online. I learn so many new things about the kids and myself each and everyday!
Right now I currently teach Kindergarten at Paramount Charter Academy in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I am so excited to impact the lives of little humans everyday and educate the future leaders of the world.
